Job Description:

At Soraa, we build world-class LED lighting systems and testing is paramount to ensure our customers receive the high quality products they expect. We are seeking a self-motivated individual to help maintain and improve our LED die-level test operations.

You will interact with the test group, data warehouse, and process engineering teams to ensure tool accuracy and repeatability. Your efforts will be instrumental to new product introduction and existing product improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Help sustain existing die test infrastructure (equipment, software, & data flow)
    • Track the health of the test equipment against golden and NIST-traceable standards
    • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, software, and optical systems
    • Support production test technicians and react as deviations arise
    • Assist determining root-cause of die-level yield loss
  • Refine documentation, maintenance procedures, training, and certification guidelines
  • Pioneer new, high-throughput test capabilities
    • Develop and implement protocols for equipment and subcomponent qualification
    • Design electrical and optical test tools and fixtures for a full range of LED products
    • Validate the new system to production requirements

Experience and Skills:

  • Strong background in wafer-level test and manufacturing test equipment support
  • Expertise creating and maintaining production automation
  • Experience programming in LabView (JKI State Machine). C/python experience a plus
  • Experience utilizing one or more of the following automated test equipment:
    • Wafer Prober, Curve Tracer (SMU), Switch Matrix, Integrating Sphere, Spectrometer, Vision Systems, etc.
  • Ability to review and dissect large sets of data (MS-SQL & JMP)
    • Statistical techniques, analysis of measurement systems, and statistical machine control (SMC)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to clearly communicate findings to engineering and management
  • BS or higher degree in EE, Physics, or other applicable area
  • Role requires some international travel

Highly Desired:

  • Experience with LED die electrical and optical test. Understanding of LED device physics.
  • Experience with machine vision programming and analysis
  • Multi-lingual: Chinese (Mandarin)
