Job Description:

Principal Responsibilities include:


  • Responsible for all aspects for introduction of new LED Lamp and Fixture products from rapid prototyping in USA to transitioning to high volume manufacturing in Asia.
  • Create BOMs, SOPs, Test Procedures, Test limits in Agile and communicate with contract manufacturers.
  • Provide weekly status on supplier schedule, progress and track against commitments.
  • Manage contract manufacturer in development and qualification of new processes and test equipment, against the established cost targets.

Experience and Skills:

  • >5 Years’ Experience in on time launch of high volume products, preferably LED related.
  • B.S. or M.S. Electrical, Industrial, Systems Engineering or equivalent.
  • Data analysis and report generation skills in SQL databases, Excel, Minitab or Jump.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written in Mandarin and English.
  • Experience writing product requirements and engineering specifications.
  • In depth Technical understanding of LED Lamp Parameters including lumens, color UV, CBCP, power, efficiency, etc.
  • Team player working with global teams in Asia, USA and across multiple functions. Able to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams with engineering and operations.
  • Familiar with Assembly and test processes including die bonding, soldering, integrating sphere and automation of such processes etc.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive, entrepreneurial and highly innovative, can-do attitude, resourceful problem solver, comfortable in a fast-moving and highly dynamic environment
  • Must be able to travel easily across Asia and US.
  • Drive Material or Design Cost Reduction activities to reduce BOM cost.
  • Must possess strong statistical and data analysis skills. Ability to work with others in a proactive, positive, and constructive manner. Must possess solid influence and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Participate in Supplier Site Audits as needed to resolve issues
  • Ensure prompt, complete and accurate communication of issues between Asia and the US.
  • Experience with Agile and SAP is a plus.
